Yangshugou in Fuxi Mountain is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Yangshugou Scenic Area is located in the western part of Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, about 34 kilometers from Gongyi City and approximately 68 kilometers from Zhengzhou. The scenic area began construction in June 2008 and now has relatively complete basic infrastructure. The area’s attractions are divided into two parts: one focuses on red tourism, centered around Secretary Zhang Jinbao, and the other is an experiential tour featuring natural scenery and leisure activities.

The scenic area has developed classic attractions such as a large-scale “real-life CS” combat base (already in operation) in the Central Plains region, a bare-handed hunting ground, a zip line, the first large RV base in the Central Plains, and an outdoor expansion training base.

The area is richly vegetated with a high forest coverage rate. Within a ten-kilometer radius, there are 590 species of plants and 68 species of wildflowers. The dominant trees include oak, blue sandalwood, hawthorn, and smoke tree. Among the dense vegetation are dozens of types of medicinal herbs such as eucommia, honeysuckle, forsythia, bupleurum, goat leaf, and fleeceflower root. In the golden autumn season, the leaves turn yellow and the fruits red, presenting a bountiful harvest scene. After the first frost, the smoke tree leaves turn crimson, creating the magnificent view of “mountains ablaze with frosty red leaves.”
