2014 Chiayi City Flower Sea Festival: Flowers Bloom with Joy and Color

The Chiayi City Government held the 2014 Chiayi City "Flowers Bring Happiness" Flower Sea Festival over two consecutive weekend holidays, from December 6-7 and 13-14. In addition to enjoying the colorful flower seas, the organizers also arranged a rich variety of rural experience activities such as pottery firing and fruit picking, inviting everyone to come and have fun in Chiayi together.

The 2014 Chiayi City Flower Sea Festival marks its ninth edition. This year, a 19-hectare floral carpet was created using a variety of colorful flowers including sunflowers, cosmos, and many others. The festival also featured four creatively themed flower areas: “Fun for Families,” “Artistic Chiayi,” “Floral Love & Happiness,” and “Sunflower Maze.” These sections offered a rich and playful experience. Coupled with the pleasant southern Taiwan weather, the festival has in previous years attracted tens of thousands of visitors, including families and couples, who came to enjoy the flowers and recreational activities. Especially this year, the specially designed artistic three-dimensional installations are expected to become a hot spot for photography, ensuring that all visitors to the Flower Sea Festival have a fantastic time.
