2014 Chiayi City Flower Sea Festival – Flowers Bloom with Joy and Color

The Chiayi City Government held the 2014 Chiayi City "Flowers Bloom with Happiness" Flower Sea Festival over two consecutive weekend holidays, December 6-7 and 13-14. In addition to enjoying the colorful flower sea, the organizers also arranged a variety of rural experience activities such as pottery-making and fruit-picking, inviting everyone to come and have fun in Chiayi together.

The 2014 Chiayi City Flower Sea Festival marks its ninth edition. This year, a colorful floral carpet covering 19 hectares was created using sunflowers, cosmos, and various other blossoms. Four creative themed flower zones were set up, including the “Family Fun Zone,” “Artistic Chiayi Experience,” “Love Blossoms with Happiness,” and “Sunflower Maze.” These areas offer rich and enjoyable experiences. With the pleasant weather of southern Taiwan, previous editions of the festival often attracted tens of thousands of visitors, including families and couples, to enjoy the flowers and leisure activities. Especially this year, specially designed three-dimensional art installations are expected to become a major attraction for photographers, ensuring all festival-goers have a memorable time.
