Nantou, blessed with beautiful mountains and rivers, boasts abundant natural resources as well as many lesser-known flower-viewing secret spots. Both cherry blossoms and plum blossoms are abundantly produced in Nantou, with their peak blooming season in winter. The pure white plum blossoms gently bloom in the cold winter, creating a moving landscape as they spread across the hills.Ren’ai Township’s Zhongyuan Tribe and Xinyi Township’s Fengkuidou are both natural secret spots for plum blossom viewing. Among them, Fengkuidou is also known as one of the “Three Great Plum Blossom Viewing Areas in Nantou,” along with Wusong and Niuchongkeng.This tranquil plum blossom viewing spot is an excellent location for wedding photoshoots and a prime destination for enjoying plum blossoms. Selected couples will choose their shooting locations based on the flowering season.

The deadline for submitting applications for the Dream Wedding Photoshoot Plan is 18:00 on December 15. Couples can express their unique love stories through writing or by submitting a short love-themed microfilm to the organizers. After selection, one couple will be chosen to have their wedding photos taken in Nantou’s floral secret spots.

Three Great Plum Blossom Viewing Areas
● Fengkuidou – Xinyi Township’s plum orchards cover approximately 1,500 hectares, with about 80% of Taiwan’s plum tree cultivation located in Fengkuidou. The plum trees are planted at altitudes ranging from 400 to 1,200 meters. With trees around 35 years old, when winter arrives, the sea of flowers on the mountains is spectacular, resembling falling snow and creating a poetic, picturesque scene. It is not only an excellent spot for viewing plum blossoms in Xinyi Township but also a renowned green plum production area across Taiwan. The suitable climate and soil have made Fengkuidou’s plum orchards highly famous.

● Wusong – In addition to the well-known Fengkuidou, the nearby Wusong, at a higher altitude (around 1,000 meters), features even denser plum blossoms, gradually gaining fame as an emerging plum blossom viewing destination. The Wusong plum blossom area was originally a high mountain forest, and after driving about two kilometers, visitors will find vast plum orchards. Near the Wusong Forest Resort, various plum orchards offer well-planned walking paths as well as cafes and restaurants, allowing visitors to enjoy the flowers while dining.

● Niuchongkeng – Niuchongkeng’s hidden gem, the “Liu Family Plum Garden,” occasionally sees snow-white petals drifting down, as if walking along a path in a snowy wonderland. The blossoms are vibrant, in shades of pink, white, and pale green—like snowflakes filling the sky, dreamlike and surreal. Looking out over the white plum blossoms covering the mountains is like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting, where “quantity creates beauty” in the vast sea of blooming plum blossoms. Additionally, the plum blossoms in Niuchongkeng typically bloom around Christmas and New Year’s Day. Due to the short blooming period, visitors should plan their trip early.
