Yantai Agricultural Expo Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The China Yantai Agricultural Science and Technology Tourism Expo Park (abbreviated as “China Yantai Agricultural Expo Park”) is a national AAA-level agricultural sightseeing tourist attraction primarily themed around “agricultural science and technology tourism,” established by the Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Shandong. It officially opened to visitors on May 1, 2002. The park combines agricultural science and technology promotion, eco-tourism, leisure entertainment, and science education, integrating science, education, and fun into the visitor experience.

The entire park can be summarized into four main areas: rare fruits and vegetables, the world of flowers, agricultural science exhibitions, and eco-tourism. The Agricultural Expo Park has been recognized as a “National Rural Science Education Demonstration Base,” a “Yantai Youth Science Education Base,” and an “Advanced Collective in Yantai’s Tourism Work.”

The China Yantai Agricultural Expo Park covers an area of 120 hectares. The planned and constructed attractions within the park include: the Rare Melon and Fruit Garden, the Desert Oasis Garden, the Vertical Soilless Cultivation Vegetable Garden, the Premium Flower Garden, the World National Garden, the Tropical Fruit Garden, the Northern Fruit Garden, the Medicinal and Edible Plant Garden, the Sightseeing Orchard, the Children’s Amusement Park, the Science Education Exhibition Hall, and the Biological Tissue Culture Display Center. In addition, supporting service facilities have been built, including a dining center that can accommodate 400 people at once, a barbecue garden, an emergency medical center, a visitor service center, and an accommodation reception center. The various scenic areas are connected by serene paths, flower corridors, and green hedges, forming a uniquely distinctive tourist destination that integrates agricultural science and technology, eco-sightseeing, science education, and vacation tourism. It is recognized as a “National Rural Science Education Demonstration Base,” a “National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site,” and a “Yantai Youth Science Education Base.”
