Guide The park borders the Yellow Sea to the east, the Bohai Sea to the west, and faces Penglai across the Dengzhou Channel to the south. Climb up to the Sea-View Pavilion perched atop cliffs, and you’ll be greeted by an expansive, lofty view — the Changshan Archipelago stands out vividly, while ships and seagulls fill the panorama. Especially in summer when you enter the “—”, gentle sea breezes and fragrant mountain winds offer cool relief from nature everywhere.

Attractions — The park connects to the Bird Exhibition Hall perched high on Fengshan Mountain to the north, and links to the snow-like Yutan Beach of the Changshan Tail to the south. It's a pristine area abundant in scenic features, integrating mountains, forests, sea, beaches, reefs, cliffs, and caves.

— Park, located at the southern tip of South Changshan Island, is about 3 kilometers from the county town. Here, undulating mountains stretch endlessly, and thousands of acres of pine waves rustle green and lush, renowned for its fresh air and high negative oxygen ion content. It forms the main part of the Changdao National Forest Park, approved by the Ministry of Forestry in 1992, and is now officially open to the public. The vast maritime pasture offers ever-changing scenery that refreshes the mind and heart. Here, you can not only watch the sunrise and sunset but may also be lucky enough to witness the rare mirage phenomenon.

Getting to the Island

To get to Changdao, you must first go to Penglai. Take a passenger ferry from Penglai Pier to the island. Ferry service from Penglai Pier runs from 6:00 to 18:30, roughly every 20–30 minutes. The one-way fare is 30 RMB per person, and a round trip is 60 RMB per person.

Island Transportation

Chartered Car: Although there are taxis on the island, chartering a car is more cost-effective for traveling between various attractions.

Bicycle: Many fishing families rent out bicycles. If you're not in a rush, you can rent one from them.

Admission

The Changdao Scenic Area full-route pass is 180 RMB (valid for three days), including Jiuzhangya, Banwan Bay, Wangfu Reef, Fairyland Source, Fengshan, and Forest Sea Park.

North Route Pass 120 RMB (valid for two days), including Jiuzhangya, Moon Bay, and Wangfu Reef.

South Route Pass 120 RMB (valid for two days), including Forest Sea Park, Fengshan Park, and Fairyland Source.

If you buy a joint ticket for Fengshan Park and Forest Sea Park, the price is 50 RMB per person.
