The Colored Stone Corridor, a natural art wonder of Tuojiao, is a magical world of murals located in Moshizui Village in the western part of Tuojiao Island. Stretching for several kilometers, the stone walls, long eroded by sea waves, are adorned with these breathtaking patterns. Poets are inspired to versify, painters lament their brushes cannot compare, photographers curse bringing too few rolls of film, and travelers pause in awe.

Yantai Colored Stone Corridor Local Specialties: Dongfang Prawns – The prawns produced along the coast of Penglai are Dongfang prawns, also known as Chinese prawns or king prawns. They belong to the class Crustacea, family Penaeidae, and are an annual species, though a small number may live up to two years. These prawns are large, laterally compressed, with thin, smooth, and translucent shells. Adult males are yellow and measure 13 to 17 cm in length; females are bluish-green. Wrinkled Disc Abalone – Commonly known as "abalone," this is a precious marine shellfish. Penglai City is a key production area for Penglai wrinkled disc abalone. Taxonomically, it belongs to the phylum Mollusca, class Bivalvia, family Haliotidae. It has only one shell and attaches itself to rocky reefs. Its shell is large, thick, and oval-shaped. Penglai Large Peanut – Also called "Penglai One-Hole Monkey," the Penglai large peanut is one of the oldest and most renowned peanut varieties in Penglai. Historically, it has been a major export agricultural product. In the third year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1862), American missionary Miles introduced the Virginia-type large peanut to farmer Yang Delai of Dayangjia Village in Penglai. After years of cultivation, selection, and stabilization, it gradually became widely cultivated.
