Shanqian Village is located at the southern tip of Nanchangshan Island in Changdao County, facing Penglai Pavilion across the sea. It borders Linhai Park to the east and Mingzhu Square and the Seaside Bathing Beach to the west. The village has a total of 123 households and 323 residents. Since 2001, the "Fisherman's Home" tourism hospitality industry began here. After several years of development, it has taken initial shape, growing from 7 initial establishments with 70 beds to the current 18 establishments with 200 beds. In 2012, the village’s "Fisherman's Home" establishments hosted 20,000 tourists and generated an income of 2 million yuan. To foster and grow this emerging industry, the village has focused on strengthening policy support and service guidance. In recent years, the village has actively raised funds and intensified efforts in tourism environment management, completing tap water pipeline renovations, as well as the hardening and repair of street surfaces. Effective work has been done in purifying, beautifying, and greening homes and courtyards. In recent years, the village has also invested over 150,000 yuan in enhancing technical security, installing surveillance cameras along main streets, thereby reinforcing the combined human, physical, and technical security prevention network. Infrastructure in the fishing village continues to improve, and the tourism environment is constantly being optimized. At the same time, the village has improved the management system for "Fisherman's Home" services, establishing a "Fisherman's Home" association to enhance self-management and services, leading to increasingly standardized industry management. They have also emphasized service quality—organizing skill training for "Fisherman's Home" operators, strengthening professional ethics, treating guests with honesty and civility, exploring folk culture, conducting regular cultural activities, expanding promotional efforts, and building the "Fisherman's Home" brand image. In recent years, the "Fisherman's Home" hospitality industry in the village has developed healthily, bringing tangible benefits to local residents.
