Pearl Gate Ruins

The Pearl Gate Ruins are a Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Pearl Gate Ruins, located in Jiuzhangya Park on Beichangshan Island, Changdao County, Yantai City, Shandong Province, are one of the cultural heritage sites protected by the People’s Government of Shandong Province. On December 7, 2006, they were designated as a Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit. This is an ancient site dating back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties.

Jiuzhangya is under the jurisdiction of Changdao County, Yantai, Shandong, situated at the northwest corner of Beichangshan Island. It borders the Pearl Gate Channel to the west and the international shipping lane of the Changshan Channel to the north. It is the most famous scenic spot on Changdao and features typical marine erosion landforms.
