The former site of the Eighth Route Army armament factory at Aishan is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The former site of the Eighth Route Army armament factory at Aishan is located in Cunlijizhen, Penglai City, dating back to 1939.

In December 1937, our Party established the first people's anti-Japanese armed force in the Jiaodong region — the Third Division of the Shandong People’s Anti-Japanese National Salvation Army. In 1938, due to wartime needs, the Jiaodong Third Army Armament Factory (Quanyangjia Armament Factory) was built, directly under the leadership of the headquarters of the Third Army, and it was also the predecessor of the First Armament Factory of the Jiaodong Military Region. From 1939 to 1940, due to changes in the wartime environment and the need to evade Japanese attacks, the Jiaodong Military Region relocated the armament factory to Aishan. The current armament factory still preserves a stone tablet engraved by Zhou Jilong, the former director of Quanyangjia Armament Factory, inscribed with the characters “Eighth Route Army Armament Factory Zhou Jilong” and his seal.

On June 23, 2015, the former site of the Eighth Route Army armament factory at Aishan was announced by the People's Government of Shandong Province as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Shandong.

Cunlijizhen (Cunliji Town): Cunlijizhen is located 35 kilometers south of Penglai City, covering a total area of 120 square kilometers with arable land spanning 3,246 hectares. It administers 36 administrative villages and has a total population of 36,500. The town government is located in Cunlijicun (Cunliji Village), which covers an area of 5.4 square kilometers.

Highways passing through the town include the Pengfeng Road, which runs from north to south. The town has 1,000 installed lines for program-controlled telephones. There is also a 35-kilovolt substation and a mobile communication base station within the area.
