Rizhao Ludong Coastal Area

Ludong Coastal National Forest Park is located 15 kilometers northeast of Rizhao’s new urban district, bordering Qingdao to the north. It is the largest coastal protective forest in Shandong Province, covering a total area of 11,800 mu. In September 1992, it was officially approved by the Ministry of Forestry as “Ludong Coastal National Forest Park.”

The park is situated along the coast of the Yellow Sea, boasting a 7-kilometer shoreline with gently sloping, soft sandy beaches and crystal-clear seawater, making it one of the rare natural coastal bathing areas in northern China. The forest park is divided into scenic zones, coastal recreation areas, resort areas, ecological protection zones, and aquaculture zones. With ongoing development projects, the park is becoming an ideal destination for tourism, vacationing, leisure, and convalescence.
