Night cruise at Pingtung’s Black Marlin Festival: Light show on Jinde Bridge by Donggang River kicks off romantically

Jinde Bridge, which spans the Donggang River, was lit up with a light show on the evening of the 27th. The ever-changing colorful lights highlighted the spectacular beauty of its basket-handle steel arch design, echoing the “Heart Bridge Station” landscape set up by the Black Marlin Culture and Tourism Festival along the Donggang River embankment pedestrian walkway, making the night view of the river even more enchanting.

The Pingtung County Government Tourism and Communication Division stated that the Black Marlin Festival will kick off on May 3rd. During the event, cultural and artistic performances will be held every Saturday and Sunday at Donggang Riverside Park and Huaqiao Market. After the 440-meter-long Jinde Bridge is illuminated, it will also synchronize with the Black Marlin Festival activities, lighting up from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The riverside, music, and light show will create the perfect outdoor performance space.

 

This year’s Donggang is truly dazzling. The Tourism and Communication Division has arranged the Black Marlin Festival across six key spots — Zhenhai Temple, Hai’s Wu, the Donggang River embankment, the Donggang Fishing Port Seafood Direct Sales Center (Huaqiao Market), as well as the Jiefang Road Japanese-style wooden bridge and Safety Island Park — filling Donggang with a romantic atmosphere. The nighttime beautification project of Jinde Bridge has also been completed, adding a major highlight to the Donggang area.
