Fenghuang Cuo Scenic Area

Fenghuang Cuo Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Fenghuang Cuo Scenic Area is located in Dujiaping Village, Nanhu Town, Donggang District, Rizhao City, over 10 kilometers from downtown Rizhao, covering a total area of approximately 127.66 acres. The name “Fenghuang Cuo” signifies the phoenix’s rebirth and the renewal of an old village, with “Cuo” meaning large lake in Tibetan. The scenic area is overall planned as an art zone, integrating homestays and artist studios, and includes cultural spaces such as a forest art gallery, waterside theater, mountaintop chapel, lakeside Zen garden, library, and museum, as well as leisure spaces like a teahouse, café, restaurant, and children’s community. A section is also preserved to be developed into an Old Houses Museum.
