Rizhao Dongyi Town consists of four islands: the Fishing Culture Theme Island, the Folk Culture Experience Island, the Exotic Culture & Customs Island, and the Leisure & Entertainment Sightseeing Island. It is hailed as China’s closest seaside tourism town to the ocean, integrating folk culture experiences with leisure and sightseeing.

The Fishing Culture Theme Island mainly includes a visitor distribution and service center, themed hotels, fishing experience shops, fishermen's seaweed-roofed houses, and shopping streets. The Folk Culture Experience Island primarily features four themed exhibition halls — Dongyi Culture, Fishing Culture, Pottery Culture, and Liquor Culture — along with folk culture buildings such as the Dragon God Temple, the Matchmaker Shrine, an academy, a wishing pavilion, and a theater. Fishermen-style courtyard inns and traditional food stalls are dotted throughout, offering a unique seaside leisure experience.
