Xinxin Forest Park boasts stunning natural scenery, ancient cultural relics with a long history, and rich literary heritage. It features typical mountainous natural landscapes and high ornamental value, serving as a comprehensive suburban provincial forest park that integrates sightseeing, leisure vacations, historical exploration, and scientific research.

Legend has it that the Dragon Maiden herded sheep here, and Liu Yi delivered a letter for her to Dongting Lake, leading to their marriage. Scholars built a shrine on the site. From the ninth to the thirteenth day of the ninth lunar month each year, the traditional Shishan Double Ninth Festival Temple Fair is held, where people come to worship the Dragon Maiden and her husband, praying for a happy and harmonious marriage.
