The Taipei Feast Picnic Carnival brings dining tables to the green grass

The Taipei International Gourmet Show will host its grand "Global Picnic Carnival" event for the first time on July 4th. Through healthy and active lifestyles, it offers creativity, themes, cuisine, and performances in various forms, allowing the public to experience the atmosphere of a picnic and taste must-try picnic foods. Just like the "Melbourne Food & Wine Festival" held in Australia every year, which attracts food lovers and renowned chefs from around the world to Melbourne to enjoy fine food, drinks, and a variety of exciting activities, the "Global Picnic Carnival" adopts this festive spirit, inviting everyone to slow down, take a break, and sit casually on the ground with friends and family to enjoy good food and embrace the picnic carnival lifestyle.

Taipei boasts many gourmet restaurants that reflect a fusion of diverse international cultures. For the first time, the picnic features gourmet offerings from "Taipei’s Gourmet Restaurants," including Middle Eastern cuisine from Shababa, grilled meats from Seven Dragons Charcoal BBQ, Thai dishes from Lacuz New Thai Restaurant, and healthy fare from Meimen Inn. These establishments present a variety of light meals — Shababa offers freshly made pitas daily; Seven Dragons Charcoal BBQ serves up its signature Seven Dragons BBQ kebabs on ciabatta, transforming grilled meat into a lighter meal option; Lacuz New Thai Restaurant features green papaya salad and Thai milk tea, among other Thai-style cold salads priced between NT$39 and NT$99; Meimen Inn presents healthy, low-calorie natural ingredient dishes such as tomato noodles and soybean paste noodles.

The "Global Picnic Carnival" event, taking place on July 4th at Huashan 1914 Creative Park’s Central Park of Arts and Culture, not only allows attendees to understand Taipei’s unique local culinary inclusiveness and experience the city’s distinctive food culture through its offerings. The site is decorated with five continent-themed settings, providing uniquely styled dining areas, along with activities such as the Taipei Gourmet Eating Challenge, the Taipei Gourmet United Nations, and interactive food games.
