The festive atmosphere at the travel expo is in full swing: New Taipei City’s Christmas tree and free red socks are eye-catching

The 2011 Taipei International Travel Fair officially kicked off today (the 11th) at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. To coincide with the upcoming large-scale Christmas event in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, from December 16 to 25, the exhibition booths simulate the famous bamboo shoot landmark of Banqiao Station and have been decorated into a giant Christmas tree. The site also regularly gives out Christmas stockings filled with exquisite giveaways, creating a strong holiday vibe.

New Taipei City Government will hold a large-scale Christmas event in Banqiao District from December 16 to December 25, integrating special offers provided by local businesses to launch a shopping passport at the end of the year. This travel fair features participating businesses that are part of the Christmas event shopping passport program, offering exclusive deals. These include “Dian Hua” promoting “Great Value Coupons – Super Useful” and “Beauty-Enhancing Snow Clam Abalone Set Meal” dining vouchers, with prices slashed up to 42% off; “Lacuz Thai Restaurant” offering an 80% discount for diners who book for November–December and pay online via credit card, plus free tasting coupons for visitors on-site; “Farali Fashion Wedding Design” launching “Celebrate 100 Years: Reservation Wedding Package Cash Voucher Worth NT$10,000,” and arranging free artistic portraits on-site with 10T photos, 2 of which are given away.

The New Taipei City stage area hosts prize quizzes and interactive games in five time slots daily.
