The Heze Ji-Lu-Yu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Hall is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

The Ji-Lu-Yu Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Hall is located on the banks of the Zhao Wang River in Heze city proper. It is a large-scale, cross-provincial revolutionary history memorial hall jointly funded by the three provinces of Hebei, Shandong, and Henan.

The memorial hall was laid down in April 1998 and completed and opened to the public in May 2000. It consists of exhibition halls, a panoramic painting gallery, and a square. The exhibition halls are divided into a prelude hall and four major sections: The Spark of Revolution, The Bloody War of Resistance, The Struggle for Central Plains, and Revolutionary Sons and Daughters. These comprehensively and systematically reflect the revolutionary spirit of the party, government, military, and people in the Ji-Lu-Yu Border Region during the 1930s and 1940s—fearless of sacrifice, pressing forward one after another, indomitable, and heroically striving under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The panoramic painting in the gallery is 17 meters high and 123 meters in circumference. The painting, ground modeling, lighting, and sound blend seamlessly, making it one of the best of its kind in China. It realistically recreates the spectacular scene in the summer of 1947 when the People’s Liberation Army shifted from strategic defense to strategic offense. Under the fearless heroism of the Liu-Deng Army, they forcefully crossed the Yellow River and launched the first battle of the Southwest Shandong Campaign—the Yuncheng Battle. The square features 54,000 square meters of green space, with over 20,000 high-end trees of more than 60 varieties planted. There are multiple scenically rich spots that serve not only as bases for patriotic and revolutionary tradition education but also as excellent places for leisure and recreation.
