Every year when the wild ginger flowers bloom, the roads leading to Peony Township in Pingtung County become the most “fragrant” roads in the nation, with the air filled with the enchantingly fresh scent of wild ginger blossoms. As a result, it’s been rated by cycling enthusiasts as one of the best “pilgrimage routes.” In line with the seasonal blooms, the Peony Township Office in Pingtung County has specially organized the “Fragrant Encounters in Peony,” a two-week flower season event starting on the 27th. The program includes fun runs, cycling tours, tribal markets, and a two-day-one-night wild ginger flower camping experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the rich ecology of Peony Township.
