This year, visitors to the Sichongxi Hot Spring Tourism Festival have even more options,From December 13 to January 31 of next year, Pingtung County Government has added a new free shuttle bus route, picking up and dropping off passengers between Kenting and Sichongxi in Checheng every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and on New Year’s Day,Together with the existing shuttle between Checheng Sichongxi and Mudan Hot Spring area, it forms a continuous line, allowing tourists to plan a smooth trip around the Hengchun Peninsula.

This year’s hot spring festivals are heating up. Aside from the historic Sichongxi Hot Spring area in Checheng, Pingtung County, there’s also the serene Xuhai Hot Spring in Mudan Township, just a half-hour drive away, offering the same high-quality spring water along with tranquil mountain views.Both major hot spring festivals kick off in November and December respectively, and the two areas can be easily connected via Provincial Highway 199.The Tourism Bureau noted that during the Sichongxi Hot Spring Festival, free shuttle buses have been arranged, running every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to transport visitors from Checheng to Sichongxi and the Mudan Township Office. With support from the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation, an additional shuttle route has been added during the festival period, bringing guests from Kenting to Sichongxi. This enhancement makes the transportation network around the hot spring area more comprehensive, allowing those visiting Kenting to easily reach the hot springs and enjoy a relaxing soak even in cold weather.
