Heze Ring City Park

Designed by the Suzhou Institute of Landscape Architecture, the Ring City Park covers a total area of 130 hectares, including 55 hectares of water surface and 550,000 square meters of green space. The park stretches 12 li in length and is planned to feature one ring-shaped green belt, two cultural clusters, three major squares, ten scenic spots, 19 pavilions and waterside structures modeled after famous ones across China, eight docking berths, 24 water-friendly platforms, and 39 resting platforms. Twelve landscape bridges are named after notable historical figures from Heze, such as Zhao Dengyu and He Siyuan. The project commenced demolition and construction in October 2003, with a demolition area of 108,000 square meters. The total budget for the project was 300 million yuan. To date, 180 million yuan has been invested. The park construction has completed an area of 1 million square meters with an investment of 260 million yuan. So far, twelve municipal bridges, nine garden bridges, 6.7 kilometers of perimeter park roads, over 10,000 meters of walking paths, eight docking berths along the river, 24 water-friendly platforms, 39 resting platforms, nine pavilions, four Xuan structures, three memorial archways, four combined pavilion structures have been built. A sewage interception pipeline has been laid, and over 80 tree species including privet, cedar, magnolia, apple, apricot, and plum, as well as more than 40 types of turf, have been introduced. Additionally, 705 uniquely designed street lamps have been installed.
