Zhaowang River Park is a National Water Conservancy Scenic Area.

The Zhaowang River is an ancient natural waterway that flows through Heze’s urban area. Its banks were once lined with greenbelts but had fallen into decline over time. To improve the urban environment, Heze City invested over 400 million yuan to transform it into a key landscape belt and ecological corridor in the city—boasting modern aesthetics, local character, and ecological value—integrating culture, entertainment, leisure, and tourism. The park features picturesque scenery, expansive water surfaces covering approximately 85 hectares, along with 8,000 planted trees of various sizes and 120,000 square meters of green space. The completed Zhaowang River Park boasts charming bridges and flowing waters, pavilions and terraces, lush trees and vibrant flowers, as well as shimmering blue waters, making it a central hub for recreational activities and leisure for local residents.
