Huzhen Town in Mudan District is situated in the northeastern part of Mudan District. Historically known as Leize, it has long been at the junction of three counties and one district—Juancheng, Yuncheng, Juye, and Mudan District. National Highway 220 runs through the entire town, while the Beijing-Kowloon Railway and the Dezhou-Shangqiu Expressway pass nearby. It is just 2 kilometers north of Juancheng Railway Station, offering convenient transportation. The area is rich in agricultural and sideline products, and its commerce, industry, and service sectors are growing rapidly. With an exceptionally advantageous location and external environment, it is recognized as a “National Advanced Greening Township,” a “Heze City Advanced Township for Forest Farming,” and a “Key Central Town in Mudan District, Heze City.”

Huzhen Town is the historical site of ancient Leize Lake, the ancient State of Cheng, Pingyang Yi, Chengyang County, Leize County, and Pingyang Tun.
