Heze Science and Technology Museum is a science education base.

Heze Science and Technology Museum is located at No. 255 Xi’an Road, Heze City. It is the only science education venue in Heze and has been successively awarded titles such as National Meteorological Science Education Base, Advanced Unit in the Ideological and Moral Construction of Minors in the Province, National Science Education Base, Advanced Unit in Science and Technology Venue Work in Shandong Province, Shandong Provincial Science Education Base, and “Four-Star Shandong Provincial Science Education Base.” The museum has five floors of exhibition halls, featuring ten exhibition areas: Artificial Weather Influence & Meteorological Instruments Hall, Heze Agriculture Hall, Human Wisdom Hall, Comprehensive Hall, Meteorology Hall, Lightning Protection & Disaster Reduction Hall, Meteorological Science and Technology Information Service Hall, Multimedia Studio, Weather Forecast Production and Release Hall, and Radar Sounding Hall, covering a total area of nearly 3,000 square meters. Using sound, light, electricity, and multimedia technologies, the museum showcases the development of meteorological science while also covering multiple disciplines. Its themes are distinctive, with a strong sense of the times, industry characteristics, and regional features. Heze Science and Technology Museum is open to the public free of charge every Saturday and Sunday. During major events such as World Meteorological Day and Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day, large-scale science promotion activities are held. The museum focuses on providing comprehensive public science education, especially for primary and secondary school students. It has established second classrooms with some schools to deliver concentrated education on disaster prevention and mitigation, with a focus on meteorological knowledge. Each year, the museum conducts outreach on over 100 days, and since its establishment, it has welcomed more than 100,000 visitors. In addition to organizing science activities on-site, Heze Science and Technology Museum also actively promotes science education by reaching out to schools and communities. Its science outreach covers all eight counties and one district of Heze City, receiving widespread praise from the public and generating significant social benefits.
