Fengzui Guodu

Fengzui Guodu is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

Fengzui Guodu is an ancient cultural relic from the Spring and Autumn Period. It is located at the northern end of the campus of the Agricultural School Teaching Department in the western campus of Heze University. In 2006, it was designated as part of the third batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

In 1969, it was discovered during a general survey by the Cultural Relics Group of the Heze County Cultural Center. A second cultural relics survey was conducted at the site in 1973. Rammed earth was found within the mound, with clear layers, flat ramming surfaces, and orderly arrangement, dating back to the Spring and Autumn to Warring States periods.

Fengzui Guodu, also known as Fengzui Mountain, is commonly referred to by locals as the "Huang Chao Troop Review Platform." At the end of the Tang Dynasty, Huang Chao, leader of a rebel army, achieved military victories. He held troop reviews and appointed generals on this platform to celebrate his successes. The long-standing legacy of the "Huang Chao Troop Review Platform" reflects the people’s remembrance and reverence for outstanding historical figures from their homeland.
