Jiangxi Meiling Rafting Tourism Co., Ltd. is a tourism-oriented company solely invested by Hong Kong Toronto Enterprise Group Investment Co., Ltd., with rafting as its main business. The company covers an operating area of approximately 3,800 acres, and the total length of its rafting course is nearly 10 kilometers.

Meiling is a national forest park and a national key scenic spot, known as Jiangxi’s “Little Lushan Mountain” and the backyard garden of Nanchang. The annual average temperature in the Meiling Rafting area is 4–5°C lower than that of downtown Nanchang, and the air contains about six times more negative ions than the city, making it a natural oxygen bar. The beautiful natural scenery attracts tens of thousands of tourists for sightseeing and leisure.

The total investment in Meiling Rafting amounts to 300 million yuan, integrating tourism, leisure, vacation, dining, and hotels. The entire project is being developed in three phases. Phase I has completed 30% of the total investment, with rafting equipment imported from Pennsylvania, USA, and the capacity to receive over 1,000 visitors per day. Upon completion of Phase II, a 5-kilometer rafting section, a five-star hotel, tennis courts, a large fishing ground, a European-style commercial plaza, and a shooting range will be added. Phase III will develop villas around Xixia Reservoir, as well as a water park and Yuanjia Waterfall (for extreme rafting) among other projects.

The Meiling Rafting route features steep valleys and picturesque scenery, allowing visitors to freely explore amid green mountains and clear waters. The starting point is Gongjia Bridge, and the endpoint is Xixia Reservoir. The first phase of the rafting course is about 5 kilometers long, with a rafting duration of 2.5–3 hours. Due to changes in terrain, the stream varies from gentle and calm to rapid and turbulent, resulting in both calm and thrilling sections. The calm sections offer the experience of “floating on water, traveling through a painting.” The thrilling sections bring a heart-pounding adventure. Safety personnel are stationed at each rapid to guide and protect you during the ride.

Up to 200 rafts can be on the river simultaneously. The inflatable rafts, imported from the United States, are both stylish and sturdy. Each raft accommodates two people and comes with a double paddle, life jacket, safety helmet, and raincoat.

During dry seasons, the water level in the river can be regulated by sluice gates. The reservoir has a storage capacity of 60,000 cubic meters, which can sustain a normal water release for about 8 hours, ensuring adequate water levels for rafting.

Meiling is the closest rafting destination to an urban center among major cities in China, offering very convenient transportation. It is only 29 kilometers from downtown, roughly a 30-minute drive.

Meiling Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Wanli District, Nanchang City. One of the city's suburban tourist and summer retreat destinations. Established as Meiling Commune in 1958, renamed Meiling Township in 1984, and upgraded to Meiling Town in 1987. The town government is located on Dianqian Street.
