To encourage people to spend more time outdoors and connect with nature, the New Taipei City Government has been actively developing parks and green spaces. In addition to building over 400 new parks, it has also created family-friendly recreational spaces in multiple locations, turning them into free outdoor amusement parks for children and great destinations for families and tourists during holidays.

1. Sanchong Happy Water Park
Located in the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park, there is a themed and fun playground featuring a four-leaf clover theme with a rainbow base, creating a playful recreational space.

Additionally, by utilizing the height of an existing slope embankment, a large 7-meter landscape slide has been built, offering an exciting and adventurous play experience. The playground also provides a variety of game facilities and inclusive play equipment, as well as a ramp to accommodate children with disabilities.

2. Banqiao Xibei Park
The highlight of Banqiao Xibei Park is its large Q-version octopus inclusive terrazzo slide and giant seashell slide. There are also large sand pits, climbing nets, and nest-style swings among other recreational features.
