become the largest amusement park in Nanchang and even Jiangxi as one of its featured projects (the park includes 35 attractions (mechanized rides: spinning roller coaster, space shot, ring jump, Ferris wheel, bumper cars, frog hopper, carousel, cycling ride, shark castle, self-controlled airplane; non-mechanized attractions: swings, water walk, seesaw, tightrope walk, trampoline, rope pole course, rope net) and more. Standing by the Ganjiang River and looking up, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Nanchang across both sides of the river, taking in all the charm of the city. Nanchang Star Amusement Park is equipped with a rich and diverse range of facilities, combining both dynamic and static attractions. It features nine major rides, among which the “Nanchang Star” Ferris wheel is the most eye-catching. As the Ferris wheel slowly ascends, it immerses visitors in breathtaking views that are truly indescribable. The other eight attractions are thoughtfully spread throughout the park, including the Mini Bee Spinner suitable for children, the relaxing leisure cycling path around the park, and the Long March Trail that promotes physical fitness and a sense of collectivism. The Nanchang Star Ferris wheel is located in Ganjiang Civic Park by the Ganjiang River in Hongjizhou, Honggutan New District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is currently the second tallest Ferris wheel in the world.

The Ferris wheel has a total height of 160 meters and a wheel diameter of 153 meters, making it taller than the 135-meter-high “London Eye” Ferris wheel by the River Thames in the UK,

and thus becoming the second tallest Ferris wheel in the world. It features 60 gondolas, each capable of accommodating 6–8 passengers. The gondolas are equipped with LCD TVs and heating/cooling air conditioning, and the wheel can accommodate nearly a thousand visitors per hour for a “sky-high” view of Nanchang.

The Nanchang Star Ferris wheel will also feature the world’s largest clock, with the 60 gondolas representing the 60-minute time scale. The Ferris wheel uses a dual power supply and dual drive system to ensure visitor safety. Each gondola is also equipped with a fire extinguisher, intercom, and rescue rope tube. In case of a malfunction, visitors can descend via the rope to avoid danger. The Ferris wheel rotates at a constant speed, but if a passenger in a gondola suffers from a sudden medical emergency such as a heart attack, they can contact ground operators via the intercom to adjust the speed and reach the ground more quickly.

The LED lights on the rim of the Nanchang Star Ferris wheel consist of six to seven thousand LED semiconductor lighting devices. When fully illuminated, they not only display a giant 153-meter-diameter colorful clock but can also be set to various patterns as needed. Currently, the lighting system has preloaded 15 different displays. Additionally, the public can send text messages

to the control system, and the Ferris wheel’s lights will display the message content, as long as it is within 12 characters. The Nanchang Star Ferris wheel has a total architectural height of 160 meters, 25 meters taller than the previous record-holder, the London Eye. Its wheel diameter spans 153 meters.
