The Eastern Wu Tomb of the Three Kingdoms is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Introduction:

This tomb is located on Xigang Mountain, 2 li west of Xiaolan Village in the former Xiaolan Township, now within the compound of Ganfa Company in Xiaolan Industrial Park. It covers an area of 177.8 square meters, with the tomb chamber itself spanning 55.43 square meters. The tomb features a brick-and-stone caisson ceiling with a pyramidal roof, and has a cruciform layout with east and west side chambers. Behind the western side chamber lies a completely enclosed small side chamber. The floor is paved with herringbone-patterned bricks. The entire tomb structure is largely well-preserved.

In late 1978, the tomb was discovered when a bulldozer unearthed its roof during land leveling for farming in Xiaolan Township. The tomb had been looted in earlier times, but during excavation, several fragments of celadon ware were found in the east and west side chambers. Later, 23 intact artifacts—including a celadon jar with four loop handles and a celadon pot with flared mouth—were unearthed from the completely sealed small side chamber. Analysis suggests that this was likely the tomb of a high-ranking military officer of the time, though the specific individual remains unknown.

The Xiaolan Eastern Wu Tomb of the Three Kingdoms provides valuable physical evidence for the study of noble tomb structures and burial customs during the Three Kingdoms period.
