Introduction:

Miaoji Bridge is located in Dongyuan Village, Zhaoxian Town, beside the road from Wanli District to Dianqian. Despite enduring the test of time, it remains well-preserved, looking as if it were newly built.

The bridge was first built in the Jiaqing Dingchou year (year AD) of the Qing Dynasty. The bridge stele is inscribed with characters such as “Jiaqing Dingchou” and “Autumn Moon, Auspicious Day.” This is a single-arch stone bridge with twelve stone pillars along the railing. Each pillar is topped with a uniquely carved lion, vivid and lifelike. Initially, the bridge was not primarily built for transportation but served as a feng shui bridge.

Miaoji Bridge is currently the best-preserved ancient bridge within the Nanchang area.
