Daguan Stone Memorial Archway

The Daguan Stone Memorial Archway is a cultural relic protection unit of Xinjian District.

Introduction:

Located on the hillside behind Daguan Village in Jinqiao. The main structure of the memorial archway is built from gritstone. It is six meters long, 0.5 meters high, and has three arched gateways. At the top center is carved the phrase "Imperial Edict," below which is horizontally inscribed "Pine Stands Resolute and Verdant." On both sides of the central plaque are carvings in red stone, and on each side there is a plaque inscribed with the words "Ice Clear" and "Jade Pure" respectively. On the northern face, the top is inscribed with "Imperial Favor," and horizontally it reads "Erected in Honor of the Filial Piety and Chastity of Madam Tu, Wife of Confucian Scholar Wan Jinchen." The county museum has identified it as a structure from the Ming–Qing period.
