Originally named Meiling Main Peak, Meiling Bamboo Sea Pearl is located in the heart of the Meiling Scenic Area, 12 km from Wanli District and 27 km from downtown Nanchang. The scenic area spans 6.2 square kilometers and features over a dozen peaks, including Hualao Ridge, Sword-Testing Peak, Golden Rooster Peak, Five Elders Peak, and Yang Peak, with the main peak Hualao Ridge rising over 800 meters above sea level. Here, mountain after mountain and slope upon slope are covered with lush bamboo, creating a vast and majestic sea of ten thousand mu of bamboo stretching as far as the eye can see.

Sculpted by nature’s forces, the scenic area is dotted with unique rock formations such as the Divine Turtle Stone, Elephant King Stone, Golden Rooster Stone, and Immortal’s Seat, scattered among pine and bamboo forests. Bamboo, streams, and rocks complement each other harmoniously—bamboo grows among stones, stones rise from the bamboo sea, and waterfalls cascade over rocks, forming a distinctive landscape. Known as the “Bamboo Sea Pearl” of Western Hills Meiling, the area has been enhanced with newly built attractions like the Colorful Cascading Springs and Fish-Shaped Corridor Bridge, along with popular activities such as the Bamboo Mountain Toboggan. “Bamboo Sea Pearl” has become a shining new star in Nanchang’s tourism scene.

In the Bamboo Sea Pearl Scenic Area, strolling amidst mountains, bamboo groves, mountain trails, small bridges, flowing streams, and quaint houses feels like stepping into a paradise on earth.

Nanchang Meiling, located 30 km west of Nanchang, features over ten attractions including Meiling Main Peak, Lion Peak, rafting, and Hongdan Cliff, and is often referred to as the “Little Lushan.” As a national key scenic area, Meiling—through the long river of history—has accumulated profound cultural significance on this beautiful and magical land, with numerous renowned poets and historical figures leaving behind famous poems, literary works, and relics.

The Meiling Bamboo Sea Pearl Scenic Area is situated right at its center. Originally named Meiling Main Peak, it stands at an elevation of 841 meters and covers an area of 6.2 square kilometers. The area features interconnected mountains and undulating ridges, with numerous weathered granite rock formations in bizarre shapes that spark endless imagination, earning it the nickname “Little Lushan.” As a kingdom of greenery and a negative ion-rich area, it is regarded as a natural oxygen bar. With every step offering a new view, visitors can enjoy the highland pastoral scenery of the scenic area. The beauty is boundless, leaving one in awe and delight, while ancient and enchanting legends inspire the imagination. Especially when the azaleas bloom, the mountains are adorned with miles of red flowers set against lush green leaves. Dancing with the flowers, walking with the birds, enjoying the scenery, and having fun with friends makes it feel like being in a dreamlike, poetic fairyland.
