Dawanshou Chongzhen Palace: Originally the Woyun Hermitage built by the Eastern Han Taoist Ge Xuan when he entered the mountain, it was called Lingxian Pavilion in the Sui Dynasty. During the Tang and Song dynasties, it underwent several name changes including Guaihu Dizhu Guan, Jingde Guan, Chongzhen Guan, and Wanshou Chongzhen Guan, until the 6th year of Emperor Lizong of Song, when it was finally bestowed the title “Dawanshou Chongzhen Palace” by the imperial family. At its peak, it had “1,500 rooms,” making it a truly magnificent sight.
