The golden wind chimes tinkle with the sounds of nature—Xiangshan’s lupine sea in Taipei is blooming beautifully right now!

In early spring, colorful flower seas of all kinds can be seen blooming across Taiwan. Along the Camphor Tree Trail in Taipei’s Maokong area, vast fields of lupines have been planted. When the breeze blows, strands of golden wind chimes sway from side to side, playing the silent music of nature. Now is peak blooming season—take advantage of the sunny weather and come enjoy a floral hike here!

The Taipei City Bureau of Urban Development stated that the lupine blooming period is generally from early to mid-March. However, due to recent waves of cold fronts, this golden sea of flowers has only recently entered full bloom. The Bureau also noted that this year’s lupine display is particularly impressive. Visitors standing near the Caiyun Pavilion can admire the most spectacular lupine sea in the terraced fields. The blooming period is expected to last until the end of March. Flower enthusiasts are encouraged to take the Maokong Gondola to enjoy these golden wind chimes nestled in the mountains.
