It’s now the crisp, refreshing season of autumn.Beside the camphor tree trail near the Maokong Station of the Maokong Gondola in Taipei, fields of cosmos have burst into bloom, swaying in the wind and adding splashes of color to the lush green landscape. Don’t miss this floral season—take the Maokong Gondola up to the Maokong mountains for a cozy autumn mini trip. You can also go up the mountain with Maokong Gondola’s new popular mascot, “Maokong Elf,” to enjoy the crisp autumn air.

The Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation stated that just about a five-minute walk from the exit of Maokong Gondola’s Maokong Station will bring you to the camphor tree trail. In recent years, the Taipei City Government’s Department of Urban Development has beautified and landscaped over 1.5 hectares of abandoned farmland along the route, rotating the planting of different flora based on species that bloom in each season. Additionally, they reminded the public that from now until December 31, 2015, anyone presenting a “Maokong Gondola Round-Trip Value Ticket” or “Same-Day Group Ticket Purchase Proof” at Maokong authorized stores can enjoy exclusive discounts.
