【Stay in a Homestay on Tuesday】Tree Also Villa, an Eco-Friendly Retreat in the Camphor Wood Nest

 

Tree Also Villa is located near the Longteng Broken Bridge and the Shuizaixia Waterfall, in a very low-key and secluded spot surrounded by native camphor forests. During construction, to ensure the buildings blend with nature, the land was not leveled and no trees were cut down—the camphor trees were preserved and allowed to grow right inside the rooms, making it a rare low-profile homestay in Taiwan that coexists harmoniously with nature.

The trees planted in the park are all native Taiwanese species, with osmanthus and larch swaying gracefully, while the roofs of the four villas feature sky gardens adorned with beautiful irises. These not only enhance the building’s charm but also provide insulation for energy-saving purposes. The spring-fed swimming pool is surrounded by native camphor trees, fully integrating with nature. The main building’s first floor houses the lounge, behind which is a large balcony—perfect for moon-gazing on clear nights, while during the day, the endless babbling of the nearby stream is equally enchanting.

Due to the terrain, guests often walk up and down stairs, which adds a fun element to the stay. The four room types are named Qingchuan, Zuiyue, Shuquan, and Churi, and are deliberately placed in different locations to create a sense of private and independent retreat. Qingchuan faces the creek below, where the sound of flowing water can be heard from the room; Zuiyue features a scenic window above the bed, allowing guests to bask in the beauty of the surroundings while lying down; Shuquan is the most quiet of them all, with the bed positioned right next to the wooden deck, where you can stretch out and breathe in fresh air; and finally, because of its location, Churi is the earliest to greet the morning sunlight.
