Huang Liyuan, head of the Geotechnical Engineering Office, noted that in recent years, efforts have been made to coordinate with landowners along the Camphor Tree Trail to plant lupines in spring and cosmos in autumn as cover crops. When in full bloom, these flowers create a colorful carpet along the trail. Cosmos, thriving in autumn and winter with strong growth and reproductive capabilities, also serves as excellent green manure for restoring soil fertility.

The Camphor Tree Trail stretches approximately 1.1 kilometers and features a gentle, stair-free path. The Geotechnical Engineering Office has landscaped and beautified 1.5 hectares of fallow farmland along the route, rotating plant species suited to different seasons to create vibrant seasonal color changes. As autumn arrives, the cosmos are set to bloom—don’t miss this chance to hike the trail during peak flowering season.
