A new hidden gem in Yangmingshan: cherry blossoms and ancient canals at Zhenzaitou Nature Park

There's a new attraction in Yangmingshan again. Zhenzaitou Stream is tucked away in a small alley on Pingjing Street in Pingzheng Li, Yangmingshan. When locals head up to Yangmingshan via Pingjing Street to admire the cherry blossoms, they often overlook this unassuming alley that actually hides a beautiful and clear stream. This stream was renovated in 1997 for flood prevention and disaster mitigation purposes. As the canal facilities gradually aged, the Taipei City Government’s Department of Civil Engineering conducted a comprehensive inspection and restoration of the stream infrastructure. The renovation incorporated elements of the local ecology, rural culture, and the cherry blossom features of Pingjing Street Lane 42. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of their holidays and visit this new Yangmingshan hidden gem — Zhenzaitou Nature Park — with family and friends. Here, you can enjoy the rustic beauty of an old stream and countryside scenery, and experience the ecology and culture nurtured by the stream.
