Qiwu Mountain Kiln Site

The Qiwu Mountain Kiln Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

As early as the Neolithic Age, human activity sites were discovered in Taipingwei, Changfu, and the ruins of wheel kilns from the Sui and Tang dynasties were found around Qiwu Mountain. The Qiwu Mountain Kiln Site dates back to the Sui and Tang periods and is part of the Hongzhou Kiln series in Fengcheng. It provides abundant physical materials for studying the historical development of the porcelain industry in our province.

Changfu Town: Geographic Location

Changfu Town is a township under the jurisdiction of Zhangshu City. It is located in the southwest of Zhangshu City, about 35 kilometers from the city center. The terrain is flat in the south and hilly in the north. It borders Linjiang Town to the east, faces Xin’gan and Xinyu across the river to the south, borders Huangtugang Town to the west, and neighbors Wucheng Township and the provincial Shuangjin Horticultural Farm to the north. The town government is located on Chengtou Street (in 1958, it was part of Huanggang Commune; in 1961, it was split off to form Changfu Commune; in 1984, it was restructured as a township; and in 1996, it was upgraded to a town). The town currently governs 17 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 118 village groups, 8,297 households, and a population of 27,565.
