Former Site of the Soviet Government of Qingjiang County (including Qingjiang Household Bureau and Wanshou Palace)

On October 5, 1930, Peng Dehuai, Commander of the Fifth Corps of the Third Red Army, and Teng Daiyuan, Political Commissar, led their troops through areas such as Lingshang, Lufangpu, and Hanshan Village, entering the city through the south gate and capturing Linjiang Town, the county seat, without bloodshed. In the town, the CCP Qingjiang County Committee was established, along with the Qingjiang County Workers-Peasants-Soldiers Soviet Government, which was subordinate to the Jiangxi Provincial Soviet Government. Chen WenZhen was elected as chairman. It governed four district Soviet governments—Guanghua, Dongyue Temple, Xiangji Temple, and Beiyi—and 36 township Soviet governments. The workers were also mobilized to establish the “Qingjiang County General Trade Union” in the Linjiang Chamber of Commerce. The General Trade Union had six branches: tobacco, woodworking, masonry, bamboo weaving, hairdressing, and tailoring. This former site was listed as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit in 1984.

The Zhangyi Highway and Zhanggao Highway run across it, while the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway and the Gan-Guang Expressway pass through the area. With convenient transportation and a prominent geographical location, it serves as an important north-south and east-west transport hub in Zhangshu City.
