Jing Mountain Forest Park is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Located in Shanggao urban area and adjacent to National Highway 320, Jing Mountain Park lies 112 km east of Nanchang, 96 km west of Yichun, and 64 km south of Xinyu. Within the city, it borders Jing Mountain Leisure Square to the south, the Science and Technology Industrial Park to the east, and the Memorial Hall for Martyrs of the Shanggao Campaign to the northeast. The park covers a planned area of 128 mu, with 90 mu already developed, making it a green pearl nestled within the urban landscape. Potential attractions include Jing Mountain Lake, Longquan Temple, villa complexes, a zoo, and an observation deck.

Jing Mountain is situated one kilometer east of the county town, “with three peaks, each round and mirror-like.” The mountain consists of Upper Jing Mountain, Middle Jing Mountain, and Lower Jing Mountain, all of which have summit peaks that resemble round mirrors, hence the name Jing Mountain. It lies to the west of Aoling Mountain and to the south of the Jin River. The valley formed by the opposing Middle and Lower Jing Mountains and Upper Jing Mountain—known as Jing Mountain Pass—is traversed by National Highway 320. The mountain is covered with dense pine and fir trees, with deep woods and thick grass, featuring extremely rugged terrain.

During the “Battle of Shanggao” in 1941, Chinese forces made full use of this natural barrier—Jing Mountain Pass—to lure Japanese troops into the vast area east of Jing Mountain, and then decisively defeated them at the foot of the mountain. As a result, Jing Mountain Pass has been hailed as a “holy land of resistance against Japan.”

Jing Mountain Forest Park includes attractions such as “Jing Mountain Moonlight,” “Jing Mountain Leisure Square,” “Jing Mountain Martyrs' Cemetery,” “Television Transmission Tower,” “Jing Mountain Reservoir,” and “Ancient Ruins of Jing Mountain Temple.”
