The hidden high-altitude calla lilies of Yangmingshan’s Calla Lily Season are like a fairyland.

Yangmingshan’s Calla Lily Season is coming to an end, leaving many travelers who haven’t yet seen the flowers feeling disappointed. But now, you don’t have to go to Yangmingshan to admire calla lilies — a sea of them is quietly blooming at Fushoushan Farm in Taiwan’s central highlands, complemented by highland forests and mist, creating a fairytale-like scene.

Calla lilies bloom among the woods and trees, creating a beauty reminiscent of a fairy-tale forest.
Located at an altitude of 1,800 to 2,614 meters, Fushoushan Farm, due to its high elevation, offers different varieties of flower seas to admire in all four seasons. During the calla lily blooming period, combined with the high-altitude environment, the calla lily season here can last until November, making it Taiwan’s longest-lasting calla lily season.
Thanks to its relatively high elevation, Fushoushan Farm provides ideal conditions for flower growth, hence offering various varieties of flower seas throughout the year.
It is currently the peak blooming period for calla lilies, and those at Fushoushan can bloom all the way until November — a remarkably long season.
Large fields of calla lilies are located near Yuanyang Lake within Fushoushan Farm. Unlike the calla lily seas of Yangmingshan, these are dryland calla lily fields, featuring larger white blooms. The sight of hundreds of blossoms is spectacular. The calla lilies at Fushoushan, set against the backdrop of pine trees in the forest, create a dreamy green-and-white scene that has become a popular photo spot.
Wandering along the pathways through the calla lily fields gives you the feeling of being a woodland sprite.
