Shuiyun Mountain Scenic Area

A county-level nature reserve and a model site for rural tourism and agritainment. Located in Gaozhou Township in the northwest of the county, Jiangxi Province, it is 30 kilometers from the county seat and can be directly accessed by taking National Highway 319 and then turning onto the mountain loop road. It is a mountainous scenic tourism area that integrates a nature reserve with natural landscapes. Shuiyun Mountain is mainly divided into four areas: Shuiyun Cave, Leigu Valley, Huangsha Eco-Village, and Gaotianya Scenic Area, covering a total area of 35 square kilometers. Shuiyun Cave is a karst cave, over 1,500 meters long, with vividly lifelike pastoral stone chambers, human figures, utensils inside, and crystal-clear streams murmuring through. Leigu Valley is adjacent to Shuiyun Cave, featuring hanging pools and waterfalls that are spectacular and precipitous, with the longest reaching over 4,000 meters. The valley is flanked by high, densely forested mountains, with old trees, vines, and various birds and animals roaming the woods, presenting a pristine ecological landscape. Huangsha Eco-Village combines "red, green, and ancient" cultural elements, focusing on rural tourism and agritainment resorts, making it an ideal place for adventure, exploration, summer retreats, and fitness. Gaotianya Scenic Area is known for its unique mountains and mysterious caves. The mountains here feature steep cliffs, with the highest peak reaching an altitude of 1,360 meters. Winding paths lead up the mountain, where hundreds of stone peaks display a myriad of shapes. Especially popular among visitors is climbing to the Sunrise Viewing Platform to watch the sunrise.
