It’s that time of year again for summer lotus viewing, and the annual Baihe Lotus Festival kicks off on June 5. This year’s theme is “Splendid Summer Lotus,” inviting visitors not only to enjoy the lotus blooms but also to delve into the lotus-growing villages and experience the rich local culture filled with warm hospitality.

Affected by cold waves this year, lotus growth has been slower than usual, and the planting area has decreased by 50 hectares compared to last year. To ensure visitors still have a great time, the organizers have introduced four tour routes: the Red Flower Route, the Green Ecology Route, the Pingpu Blue Route, and the Brown Hot Spring Route. Visitors can choose different routes based on their preferences to explore the entire Baihe area.

Now in its 21st year, the Baihe Lotus Festival has evolved this year. In addition to admiring the lotus flowers, visitors can also engage with surrounding communities through various rural experience activities, exploring local industries, culture, and ecology through a light rural travel approach.
