Taipei’s bustling city actually has a Japanese shrine ! It turns out that Atre, the Japanese shopping mall inside Breeze Nan Shan, specially set up 8 vermilion torii gates to celebrate Chinese New Year, attracting large crowds to take photos and check in, immersing themselves in an authentic Japanese atmosphere and feeling like you’ve flown to Japan in an instant !

Both Japan and Taiwan have the tradition of visiting shrines and temples to pray for blessings at the start of the new year. This time, Atre has brought a Japanese shrine to the Skyline Park on the 4th floor of Breeze Nan Shan Atre, allowing everyone to experience the Japanese custom of shrine visits for the New Year without flying to Japan. These 8 vermilion torii gates symbolize brightness and hope, wishing everyone good fortune in the new year !

Besides taking photos and checking in at the torii gates, there is also a real shrine where visitors can pray. Atre has brought Ebisu, the god of wealth among Japan’s Seven Lucky Gods, to Taiwan, where people can offer prayers and make wishes.
