Luohan Mountain Ancheng Marquis Tomb

The Ancheng Marquis Tomb is situated within the turbine factory complex in Mashicun Village, Shengfang Town, Lianhua County. At that time, the industrial park area had a total of 18 earthen mounds of varying sizes, and artifacts had been unearthed from each one. However, this particular burial mound was exceptionally large, covering an area of over 200 square meters with a rammed earth layer as thick as 13 meters—making it truly grand and magnificent.

The ancient Han Dynasty tomb located on Tiger Hollow of Luohan Mountain in the industrial park of Lianhua County, Pingxiang City, not only yielded hundreds of cultural relics across six major categories—including gold, bronze, iron, pottery, porcelain, and jade—but also unearthed an extremely precious golden seal engraved with a turtle-shaped knob and the four characters “安成侯印” (Ancheng Marquis Seal). Experts investigating the golden seal unexpectedly discovered that the tomb's occupant was Liu Cang, grandson of Emperor Jing of Han.

The Ancheng Marquis Tomb is a burial site from the Han Dynasty’s Changsha Marquisate and is the first marquis-level tomb discovered in our province. Like the recently excavated Western Han Haihun Marquis Tomb in Nanchang, it holds tremendous archaeological, historical, scientific, artistic, and exhibition value.
