The columns and beams of the Wang Family Ancestral Hall in Liangfang, Lotus County, Jiangxi Province, are richly decorated with carved beams and painted rafters, showcasing splendid ornamentation. Below the columns are several octagonal pedestal stones engraved with birds and beasts. The ceiling is adorned with dragons, phoenixes, and the design of the Taiji symbol. The shrine platform on the upper floor features carvings of figures, characters, and paintings. The floor is constructed from a mixture of lime, sandstone, and tung oil, and remains well-preserved. One of the most notable features of the ancestral hall is the excellent lighting in every corner. The exterior walls are built with finely polished, kiln-fired blue bricks, creating a smooth and even surface. The ancestral hall consists of three connected sections: the front section has flat gable walls, the middle section features arched gable walls, and the rear section has hip-and-gable walls. The facade of the front section is divided into three levels — the lower level includes a large veranda supported by eight main columns and three entrances, with the central gate bearing a plaque that reads “Wang Family Grand Ancestral Hall.” The middle level features upturned S-shaped panels on both sides of the front eaves, with a carving of two dragons playing with a pearl in the center and an inscription that reads “Residence of the Military Governor.” The upper level has a raised square in the middle, surrounded by four hanging rain shelters with claw-like eaves, presenting a majestic and imposing appearance.

In 1936, the 7th Congress of the Soviet Government of Lotus County was held in the Wang Family Grand Ancestral Hall. From 1950 to the 1990s, it served as Liangfang Primary School. In 2003, the front section was rebuilt and comprehensively renovated. In 2004, a Folklore Exhibition Hall was established in the ancestral hall. In July 2005, the Guanjiang Scholarship Association was set up here. In October 2006, the Lotus County Committee for the Care of the Next Generation designated the Wang Family Grand Ancestral Hall as the “Lily County Youth Patriotic Education Base.”
