The former site of Lenin School is located in Qinting Town, Lianhua County. During the Second Revolutionary Civil War period, it was the birthplace of the Hunan-Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Provincial Soviet Government. The First Congress of the Hunan-Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the First Congress of the Hunan-Jiangxi Provincial Soviet Government were held here successively. A large number of senior republican generals such as Peng Dehuai, Wang Zhen, Xiao Ke, and Wang Shoudao fought here. It later became known as the “Lenin School,” and the current official hall still houses a plaque inscribed with the name “Lenin School,” personally written in 1986 by then General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee — Comrade Bang.
