It has long been a popular destination for visitors to enjoy spring outings, take in scenic views, and reflect on history from atop the hills. In 1943, Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo spent three months here to escape the summer heat and inscribed the plaque “Xingyi Summer Retreat” at the Longquan Mountain Taoist Temple.
