The Chiayi Meishan Rueili Wisteria Flower Season is here. Every March, the blooming wisteria creates a unique scenic beauty in the mountainous areas of Chiayi County. This year’s wisteria flower season, themed “Purple Romance, Blissful Wisteria Clouds,” officially begins in mid-March and lasts for a month. Throughout the season, pale purple wisteria flowers cascade down like waterfalls across Rueili, offering a truly romantic sight. The Chiayi Rueili Wisteria Flower Season is the result of joint promotion efforts by local homestay operators in the Rueili community. In 2014, with a budget allocated by the Chiayi County Government for promotion and featuring celebrity endorsements, the event gained widespread popularity and attracted many flower enthusiasts.
